The Kid: Hey, mom! Let's have a staring contest!
Me: Sure.
[staring contest begins]...
...[two minutes pass]
Me: Wow, Kid, you've gotten good at the staring contest.
[we're still staring]
The Kid: Yeah, I've been practicing.
Me: Do you practice with the kids at school or something?
The Kid: No. I practice with my stuffed animals. But they always win.
[I lose the staring contest]
