Do people on message boards and IM really laugh out loud that much? Because honestly, I would only be able to say LOL once a day, maybe. And rolling of the floor etc? I just don't think its sincere.
Maybe I'm just not as happy. I should IM more.

I like emoticons. But lol is silly. I prefer to think of it as "lots of laughter." Because maybe, even if they're not laughing loudly, they're laughing on the inside.

Dude, I HATE lol. I also hate emoticons. Even the seemingly innocuous :) When did people renounce irony? Did I miss that memo?

TTT, Molly. BTW, LOL, IMO (FWIW) isn't bad, but ROTFL, or worse, ROTFLMAO, are ridiculous exaggerations.
